Barbeque Sauce Use some of Husch Vineyards 2006 'Old Vine' Carignane in the sauce and drink the rest with your feast. 1 medium onion, chopped 1 TBS olive oil 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 C tomato puree 1 tsp. salt 1/4 C apricot preserves 1/4 C honey 1/2 C beef or chicken broth 3 TBS Worcestershire Sauce 2 TBS Dijon mustard 1/2 C Husch Carignane 1 bay leaf 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes 1 tsp. paprika In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil and sauté the onion until translucent. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer 15-20 minutes. Remove bay leaf and puree the sauce if desired. Use on ribs, chicken, steak, or even burgers. Makes about 2 cups.
