Butter Cookies Serve with Husch 2005 'Postre' Sauvignon Blanc. One pound (four sticks) Butter 4 2/3 cups of Flour 3 egg yolks 1 1/3 cups of Bakers Sugar 2 teaspoons of vanilla In a large standing electric mixer beat butter until fluffy. Slowly add the eggs, vanilla, sugar and then the flour. Mix until all ingredients are well combined. Roll into small balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 For 10-12 minutes or until the bottoms of the cookies are slightly browned. These cookies are buttery, rich and the vanilla compliments our Pinot Noir. For an alternative: Substitute the vanilla for 2 teaspoons Grand Marnier and one tablespoon orange zest, for an orange flavored cookie that is wonderful with Postre, our late harvest Sauvignon Blanc.
