Husch has seen several generations of family over the years and now the fourth generation is running through the winery. At age 9 Morgan Joseph (Mojo) isn’t quite a full-fledged winemaker, but he is a favorite with the tasting room staff and visitors.

The Mojo Red is a Cabernet Sauvignon based wine that is affordable and ready to drink tonight. With the 2010 vintage we blended Cabernet Sauvignon (82%), Merlot (12%) along with a touch of Syrah and Pinot Noir. Approach this wine with high expectations; despite the price this wine is hand-crafted in small batches.

The 2010 vintage offers a deep violet color, aromas of boysenberry, cherry, tellicherry pepper – with a hint of laurel and flint. Juicy flavors of mixed berries, pepper, violet and tobacco highlight the palate. The structure is firm, but not overwhelming with a hint of cherry, clay, and a pleasant, lingering finish. Try it with grilled steaks, pasta, pizza or your favorite burger.
